I was completely surprised at how much this app really lacked in providing a really good customer experience. I understand that a lot of the news outlets and content providers really want to maximize their profits and all that. But you dont gain loyalty by not investing - or at least approaching - the design of an app and centering it on how good the customer will feel. The design, especially for content providers, means putting the customer at the center of everything they do. And while I have to imagine that they realize consumers already pay for cableā¦ This is asking them to fork out more money. And the experience is already terrible on a basic level. If I had to guess, Im assuming that this is about readings and who has control over information on that. I would gladly give out my demographic information if the act was designed well and gave me what I wanted. But having me to pay for a terrible experience is such a turn off. I just happened to go back to the app to see if things changed. And unfortunately, it hasnt. And while I understand this model will work for this company for a little while. In the long run, it cannot.
