Bluetooth Feature Broken After Last App Update

The new AirPlay update to the CBS app has disables the ability to watch the video on an apple device and listen to the audio on a Bluetooth device. Unbelievable, no one tested this before launching the app update. Considering AirPlay only works with devices that already have stand alone CBS apps (apple tv) that are a preferred choice over Airdrop, just rollback the update already. Until CBS fixes this issue, I will be cancelling my CBS All Access Subscription! Update: My original review rated out to a 1; however, I changed the rating to a 4 in large part to the fast turn around time on resolving the issue in a timely manner. If you would like a 5 star rating in the future dont drop the ball on testing before rolling out another update to your app.

Bluetooth bug is fixed

Thanks for fixing the bluetooth bug. Now, as long as there are free episodes of Colbert (arent there plenty of commercials anyway?) this app stays on my phone. But I shouldnt have to subscribe for content (CBS Access) that comes over the public-provided free TV spectrum.

Pretty solid streaming app

After fixing a recent issue caused by an update, Im editing my review. All in all its pretty good, I really wish that there was an auto play next option, or a way to put on the landing page the thing I was watching last a la Netflix.

Wont open

I pay for this. Hasnt worked on my iPad in a month. Every time I try to open it just crashes.

Bluetooth issues have been fixed

Issue listed below has been addressed and I was pleased to get an email telling me it had been. Now it works well again. Thanks For some reason the app has stopped showing video when I use Bluetooth headphones. It acts as if the headphones are some form of airplay and thus would be showing the video on it. Just a message saying showing on <headphones name> and the audio comes through but no video. It has worked just fine prior to today.

NO PICTURE WITH BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES

For the last 5 days. I havent been able to watch any CBS shows through my wireless headphones. I just get audio with a message saying (Now playing on whatever headphones are being used). I hope this issue gets resolved soon as I exclusively use this app on my headphones. I will most likely cancel if the problem isnt resolved. Wednesday August 16, 2017 @ 1243am Thank you for getting back to me with the update. I connected my headphones after updating and was able to see the picture and hear sound at the same time. Thank you again for fixing this issue. I greatly appreciate it.

Does not work with Air Pods or other Bluetooth devices

The video feed disappeared when Bluetooth headphones are connected. Must use wired headset. I dont think the developers give a crap about this issue. Im not the first to write a review about it Commercials very very loud. Extremely annoying. Can not fast forward through them. I suggest Mute them. That will get paid advertisers will get the message 8/15/17 Well done. The Bluetooth issue has been resolved. Very impressed prompt action was taken on this issue.

Bluetooth Issue

Edited: Although the Bluetooth issue is now working, the app crashes as soon as it connects to the Bluetooth. It works after the initial start up crash, but still wanted to let the app techs know there is still a bug that needs fixed. Please fix the Bluetooth issue that everyone is complaining about. I have to use my earbuds and then to cancel out the noise I have to place my wireless Beats over the earbuds just to cancel noise out. And the earbuds are terribly uncomfortable. I dont like being uncomfortable. Come on, CBS tech people!!! Update the app already!!!!

Bluetooth fixed. Now for the disclaimer

The Bluetooth issue seems to be fixed. Now if we could get away from seeing the disclaimer when we switch between cams on live feeds. One a season would be good enough. Or if you really feel the need, one a day.

Blue Tooth

Okay so like everyone else ha said the BT streaming to headphones breaks the video playback. However there are times I just listen to tv and turn my phone over so it doesnt display the video. Can we get this as an option at least going forward? Update fixed issues and Im also able to just listen if I want to. Thanks.

They have fixed the airplay issue quickly. Thanks. Now I can watch Stephen Colbert at work to distract me from actually doing work!!!

Hallelujah! Bluetooth Works!

UPDATE: The last update it wouldnt let anyone with Bluetooth headphones like AirPods use the app pretty much. Whenever you went in to play a video the sound of the video would play but it wouldnt show any picture, itd say "Now playing on AirPods" but its just now finally been fixed after half a month! Thanks for fixing CBS!

Too limited

Im disappointed that I cannot get up to date shows. Odometer of the programs consistently crash.

How the hell do I cancel my subscription? Edit 8/15/17. You still have not answered me! I want to cancel! Now CANCEL IT!

Fatal Flaw?

I get a "fatal flaw" error message when trying to watch an episode. If I tried 5-6 times, I might finally get it to work, but now the episode will not load no matter how many times I try it.

No picture when connected to Bluetooth

Update: (8/15) The issue was fixed so Im adding two more stars. This update has made viewing a huge hassle, I used to use my Echo or Bluetooth headphones but now it stops video whenever Bluetooth connects. I dont need to know where the sound is streaming to, I need the video to show (like Im paying for)
